Love Thy Neighbor Walk
The Love Thy Neighbor Walk is organized to engage women from a diversity of faith backgrounds in a greater understanding of the different faith traditions in Roanoke. It involves a walking tour of churches in a three-mile radius with time for presentations and discussions.
End Homelessness Collaboration
Working with established efforts to end homelessness in the community, this team seeks unique ways that CWU can contribute to the effort by identifying and addressing unmet needs.
Community Engagement/Advocacy Team
This team serves as a clearinghouse to review requests for assistance or involvement received from outside organizations or individuals.
Family Food Assistance Team
The provision of food boxes for veterans and their families is a monthly project for this team. They also organize a coffee drive for the Rescue Mission and have served meals for children who are part of the Kids Soar program at Lincoln Terrace Community Center.
